Jason David, a Modesto father whose son was treated with cannabis oil for severe Dravet’s syndrome at age 4, will speak this week in Nevada City.
David will be guest speaker at the Nevada County Chapter of Women Grow meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at The Stonehouse, 107 Sacramento St.
David’s son Jayden, now 9, was the first child in the nation to be treated with cannabis oil for his severe Dravet’s syndrome condition.
Jayden David obtained his first CBD tincture from Harborside Health Center, a dispensary in Oakland, when he was 4.
David said his son, at the time, was on dozens of narcotics and pharmaceuticals; his first four days of treatment with cannabis oil were documented on The Discovery Channel’s show, “Weed Wars.”
Now, five years later, Jayden David is taking his own brand of CBD medicine, appropriately named “Jayden’s Juice,” is in school and doing well. Nevada County Women Grow welcomes all industry people — men and women — and supporters to attend.
